This milestone was reached during discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the margins of the 2026 G7 Summit. The leaders agreed to implement the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) on July 15, marking a significant enhancement in the economic relationship between the two nations, which currently stands at an annual trade value of approximately £48 billion.
